Creative Bridal Session
I always get that creative itch and find myself really wanting to create the images I think up in my mind. *Constant day dreaming/ creating* I have been wanting to do a very relaxed, natural and bohemian style session of just a bride. A focus on her and her natural beauty. I also had these two lovely dresses that have been sitting in my closet just waiting to be photographed.
I reached out to a good friend of mine Robyn, who I have photographed in the past and asked her to model as a bride for me. She has such a natural glow to her and no makeup needed for this stunning girl!
This was a spur of the moment session… I am so pleased and absolutely in love with how it turned out! Sometimes things just fall together so perfectly.
I purchased some flowers and greenery from Safeway and put together a bouquet. I grabbed some ribbon from my craft box and dressed it up a little. Gave Robyn two loose dutch braids leading into a messy bun and placed some babies breath throughout. Robyn also was a perfect candidate for this session because of her beautiful natural curls!!! So easy and quick to give her hair that bridal feel. The imperfection is what I was looking for, messy and loose strands.
The first dress which was a cream lace knee length dress is by Vero Moda which I purchased from the Bay years prior. It had always been a treasure of mine and never worn! The second dress was a long white dress which had more of a bohemian feel to it. Very simple and sheer light fabric. The neck line was stunning on her! That dress was purchased from Winners here in Calgary and has been used for a Maternity session previously. I see a big future ahead for that dress! haha
These photos are sun kissed and moody, exactly what I was going for.
If ever thinking of creating something … GO CREATE!!
It’s always so satisfying seeing something I envisioned come to life.
